AFC North Team Analysis

We are covering the AFC North in this post. As always looking for the edge. We at FFP believe that we can at the least provide some sharpening to your edge!

In TEAMs Table 1,  the side items are listed in order of the average of the team's skill players Insiders Rankings (AVG I SR), the team's skill player Outsiders Rankings (AVG O SR), the teams players average difference between the I and O worlds, (I/O SR), The highest I SR scoring position (TOP), the worst scoring position, (BOTTOM), and the % number of skill players that have a positive I to O ratio using the I/O Diff number (DIFF Positives)

So in as you go down the side item metrics, get a sense of each team and their comparison to the other teams in the conference.

So an overview shows that overall that all four teams as a collective are rated higher by the Insiders vs Outsiders.   The top ranked team is CLE with a +33 and is the top team with the highest difference between the Insiders vs Outsiders. However, overal they are ranked at -28. So the data says CLE is low ranked but the public is ranking them even worse. Next down is CIN at + 22. CIn is also ranke high as well at + 25.8. So then sleepers from this team could be stronger than CLE. Next we have BAL and PIT at +14.4 and +11.1 I/o Avg Diff. PIT is the highest ranked team in this group with +34.4. Bal is ranked at +5.2 and we expect sleepers from that team as well.

So let begin at CLE. We see 3 potential sleepers with D. Bowe, A. Hawkins and RH the TE. Yes they are ranked well above the public but other than Hawkins I would be careful. But sometime the best sleepers are those that are not see to be very good. The top player is the CROW as a RB and the worst is the TE.

In CIN we have only one sleeper the TE, Eifert. He got hurt last yoear and had little effect and was highly ranked before the injury. I had him in some redraft leagues and will be look hard to grab him in a late TE draft. His stats of -11 ranked with he I/O Diff of 87 is very high and I am think he is a great target as a late TE. Get him. The top player is AJG WR and MJ the WR2 is the worst player. I would place M JONES on my watch list and would draft him at the right round.

In BAL we have only one sleeper in L Taiaferro with a +48.1 I/O Diff. His rank though is -53 so he is a late round handcuff and gamble. The Top player is JF RB and LT is the bottom player and RB there.

Finally we have PIT. We have the top sleeper in the league in H Miller the TE. I will be using him as a top late round TE pick or Bye week TE guy. Miller is solid and a steady player. We also has 3 strong "anti-sleepers" DW the RB and MB the WR. These are overbought at -33 and -28 I/O Diffs. Beware. I would drop them rounds before drafting them if at all. The Top player is L Bell and DW is the bottom anti-sleeper RB.

My Table 2 is my novel quick scan view of these 4 teams. Make flask cards from these and practice using them in mocks. So quickly we have BAL with JF the RB, In CIN with have Eifert as the TE sleeper, IN CLE several low ranked sleepers that are to be watch and carefully drafted. Finally H Miller in PIT as my top sleeper TE and 2 anti-sleepers in DW and MB who are overbought by the public.

FYI I have gone through all teams now. Remember a sleeper should be real not a top obvious pick. I am setting my sleeper as those that are tarnish players that are ready to shine.

Doing rookies next and into the strength of schedule. I feel this is quickly flipped out at other sites. I am going to get deeper. I hope. Thanks for reading.
